Fame again came calling to York Photographer Rob Cooks door, whilst photographing a press and PR job for Wates Construction in Leeds he was featured in the back of shot on BBC's Look North regional news show.

York Photographer Rob Cook FBIPP FMPA QEP has just won two more awards in major Commercial Photography Competition. The Competition run by the Master Photographers association rewards high levels of competency in aspects of Professional Photography such as Lighting, Composition, Timing, and Artistic ability.

Before Professional Wedding and Portrait Photography

This past week I went back to my roots photographic roots. Many many years ago before I started shooting wedding and portrait photography professionally, I used to photograph various forms of motorsport. Starting at local Banger Racing tracks, where I used to sell pictures back to the drivers and to fanzine magazines, this led to photographing drag racing meetings across Europe and America for various car magazines.

Its not very often that that I have a spare weekend to go racing, but I can tell I've been to a drag strip as my ears are ringing again!

Down on the farm

We Photograph Weddings all over York, Leeds and Harrogate at some of the top venues in Yorkshire. Every so often we get to shoot a wedding in a slightly unusual setting. Farmer’s daughter Lucy knew exactly where she wanted to get married, at home on the farm. A large barn was fitted with a marquee inside which added to the relaxed feel of the day.

The unique setting gave us some really nice and unusual settings to shoot the pictures

Always looking for a different angle

Sometimes when photographing weddings you just have to do what it takes to get the pictures you want. To get this shot I had to take to the air, in the basket of a forklift truck!
