What to wear?
Portrait photographs should always be about the faces, rather than the clothes. With that in mind wear what you are comfortable with, but try to avoid bright colours and heavily patterned items.
What works well?
Dark plan trousers or skirts with white or light plain tops.
Denims and plain tops.
Things to avoid?
Football shirts or other heavily branded items
Stripes or polka dots
Both the above draw the viewers attention away from the faces and expressions.
